I'm a lifelong learner who loves to travel to learn about the world. I play the guitar and I enjoy all types of music, trying new foods, and looking at different styles of art. I live in the desert of Tucson, Arizona in the United States, but I grew up in New York. I love learning new languages myself! I speak Spanish, and I'm learning French, Italian, and Irish.Me as a Teacher
I've been teaching for over 5 years, and I firmly believe that education can open countless doors to success! Currently, I'm a middle school English teacher in the U.S., but I have also worked as a math teacher, a science teacher, and a general education teacher. I've spent summers working at a literacy camp, and I spent time as a one-on-one tutor for kids and teenagers, too. My focus is on communicating: how can we make sure that your audience is understanding you?My lessons & teaching style
Learning about my students is essential to me; I want to tailor what we're learning to my students' interests, needs, and strengths and weaknesses. I like to play games, create art, and read and write with my students. My classroom is a relaxed atmosphere because I want students to be comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. I like to use Google Slides presentations to help students visualize what we are learning together. I've also created some games to play in Kahoot, which I have found is a great way to review.My teaching material

There were many occasions when my English was too low to understand what the teacher was saying, but it was very receptive because he paraphrased it into simple words and waited for me to speak.
He is a very kind teacher, so I was able to learn with peace of mind.
