Lara

This was my last lesson with Lara before going to Spain. I do not know where to begin. Never did I think I would have so much confidence and knowledge in Spanish until now, and I am forever grateful to Lara for helping me achieve this. I recall in my first lessons that I kept telling Lara that I was so nervous and did not know hardly anything. Now, Lara and I are able to have full conversations in Spanish, and I feel so much better. Lara is the best teacher you could ever have, and that is not an exaggeration. Thank you so much, Lara! I truly appreciate you.

I have completed a number of classes with Lara and cannot recommend her lessons enough. Lara is a consummate professional. Her classes, for which she is extremely well-prepared, are structured, challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Lara's years of experience in language teaching are clearly evident and she deftly incorporates conversational practice into clearly explained lessons focused on grammar. Moreover, Lara is friendly, open and encouraging and these qualities make the learning process very enjoyable.

I started learning Spanish with Lara 6 months ago, in preparation for my daughter's wedding to a Spaniard. I was able to give the speech in Spanish (without notes) and converse with the Spanish in-laws. I will be 70 in October and never imagined I would make so much progress. Lara has been fantastic. Some days I have not felt motivated at the start of the lesson but she is so enthusiastic that I feel inspired by the end of the lesson.

Just had my third lesson with Lara, and I can already tell that she's going to help me improve quite quickly. She does full immersion in the lessons, encouraging the learner to speak in Spanish as much as possible, only speaking in English when needed, which is very beneficial in learning a language. I feel I will go far with her, and quickly, thanks to her style. She's very patient, kind and encouraging with each small step I make as an A1 learner. I look forward to more lessons with her!

I worked with her to brush up my Spanish prior to a trip to Spain + Mexico, and she has helped me immensely with the preparation. She’s patient and very clear on explanations, providing a safe space for me practice and make mistakes without being embarrassed. Will definitely work with her again.
