My name is Mariam, a Canadian with a bachelor's in Pharmacy from Dubai and a Masterās in Education from California. Iām currently pursuing a second Masterās in Educational Leadership. With a certificate in Child Development and Behaviour, I teach children, teens, and adults.
Iāve lived across Canada, the UAE, Libya, and Egypt, and Iām a native English speaker. Writing under the pen name Mariam Al Qudsi, Iāve published a poetry book, a scientific article, two childrenās books, and a short novel.Me as a Teacher
ACCENT: (proper pronunciation) I can deliver the Canadian accent to you in an easy & achievable way.
SCHOOL/WORK: We can work on presentations & speaking tasks together to ensure proper grammar on final drafts.
READING: I have a series of books, paragraphs, articles and PowerPoint presentations for one-on-one reading. This is a great method to learning pronunciation, as well as new vocabulary and every day idioms.
IELTS: (note- I am not a certified IELTS coach. I have just learned tricks to achieving great IELTS exam results (high bands), with past-paper practice)

We will have one-on-one talking sessions, including everyday common language conversations. I have also prepared slides and downloaded stories and text paragraphs for you to read to me. I may also test you on Native English (Canadian) vocabulary and terms, including idioms!
You may express your concerns in English, whether it be speaking in public, or just general conversations and I will teach you tips and tricks to catch on quickly.
I can also send you links to videos and audio clips that will help you in between sessions, for a quicker and greater escalation.
Of course, you can opt out of homework assignments if you prefer to work only one-on-one with me!My teaching material

Child Development and Behaviour - Mohawk College - 2020I gained a comprehensive understanding of child development from infancy through adolescence, as well as the factors that influence behavior and development. Courses covered topics such as child psychology, behavior management, communication with families, and developmental disorders. Through hands-on experience and practical assignments, I developed skills in observation, assessment, and intervention with children and families.

Bachelorās - PharmacyDuring my Bachelor of Pharmacy program at Dubai Pharmacy College, I studied a range of topics related to the pharmaceutical industry. This included courses in drug discovery, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and medicinal chemistry, among others. Additionally, I gained practical experience through clinical rotations, where I had the opportunity to work alongside licensed pharmacists and apply my theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting.
