My name is Shay and I'm based in Montreal, Canada.
I moved to Montreal as an immigrant over 19 years ago. Tackling two brand new languages (French & English) at once was most definitely a challenge, but I wouldn't have done it any other way.
Living in this dynamic and diverse community has open my eyes to new perspectives, and I hope to share with the international community my knowledge and my experiences.

Learning languages has a truly special place in my heart. In my experiences, languages have helped me break barriers, make new friends, succeed in higher education, and most importantly, broaden my horizons.

I have a bachelor's degree in biotechnology, in nursing and I'm currently pursuing a career in software engineering, so you can say that I have had my fair share of being a student.
In these years of education, I understood that students respond better when teaching methods are adapted and customized to them.

I enjoyed my trial class with Shay. He was able to identify, rather quickly, the appropriate strategy moving forward to achieve my goals. I feel a lot more confident in re-embarking on my French language journey with the added challenge of refining my Mandaring Chinese in the process. I'm looking forward to our first formal lesson.
