A polyglot teacher with over 10 years of experience and CAE on a range of 207/210 I grew up in a bilingual Polish-Russian family, I also speak French and English on native level. I believe that teaching process should be, above all, pleasant and friendly and that it doesn’t necessarily mean dull learning grammatical rules by heart. Knowing four languages on a native level and learning now the fifth one, I know perfectly well how to do it effectively. I want my students to speak in classes as much as possible, because a dialogue is the best opportunity to remember vocabulary and grammar constructions. I do explain grammar in my classes, but I use also a lot of language games. Although speaking practice is an essential part of my classes, I do understand it when for different reasons someone prefers to study written language rather than spoken one. I have students like that as well, and I work with them very easily, because I can adapt myself to any expectations and demands. I have experience in preparing people to different kinds of state language exams.
