NOTE: I am currently on maternity leave.
I am a native English speaker from the West Coast of the USA. As a writing coach, I love helping students ages 7 through adult with hobby projects and academic/career pursuits.
I hold bachelor degrees in violin performance and humanities (a combination of literature, theology, and philosophy). I spent a semester studying at the University of Oxford, where I researched literature and played violin in their orchestra. I've also published a short story and presented literary research at a national conference.
I love traveling, listening to music, baking, meeting animals, and hiking!Me as a Teacher
I have taught music lessons for the last 7.5 years, and I started teaching online in 2017. In addition to lessons on this platform, I also teach group English classes to improve kids' literacy through fiction. I love stories, so I was happy to help kids create their own e-books in an online summer camp! I also teach Sunday school and have volunteered as a tutor for after-school homework help.

I adapt my lessons for whatever works best for you! I enjoy talking with people during conversation practice, and I am happy to offer as much or as little feedback as you want. I also offer more structured lessons with worksheets, short stories, and writing exercises. My experience as a writing coach helps me help YOU with writing practice, and I am always happy to clarify any specific grammar questions you might have.
