Hi there! My name is Natasha Chongo. I was born in Zambia but grew up in Botswana. I enjoy traveling and being in nature. I absolutely love cooking and spending time with my friends. During my spare time, I read books, watch movies, and stargaze. I am a very friendly person and I love meeting new people and learning new things. I am a teacher by profession but just like my students, I enjoy acquiring knowledge from others. I have been working as a teacher for 3 years. I am specialized in Early Childhood Education. I also do private tutoring. I teach English on an academic level as it forms a major part of the curriculum. I focus on grammar, phonics, listening skills, speaking skills, writing skills, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and oral expression. I make sure my students are engaged during my lessons through the use of flashcards, games, drills, and puppets. When asking questions, I use open ended questions to encourge even shy learners to participate. All learners are unique and have their own learning style. Some are visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic to name a few. Therefore I include visuals, sounds, actions, music, songs, rhymes, stories, puzzles etc. Whatever suites my students and makes them learn while having fun, is key to achieving those learning goals.
