Italian teacher with training in linguistics Hi, I'm Paolo :) I am an Italian linguist and I have had several experiences as a teacher over the years, which have confronted me with diverse students, contexts, and needs. My teaching method is based on my knowledge of linguistics and on my experience learning foreign languages myself. I am passionate about determining each student's specific needs based on their goals and designing a tailored path for them. I like to teach about informal, everyday language and slang, as these are the aspects that have made me passionate about the languages I've learned. As a linguist, I also like grammar and etymology, but I know that that's not everyone's cup of tea, so I'm used to finding creative ways to help my students learn without having to go over the technicalities. Unless you're interested ;)

Paolo is very attentive and patient, and quite fun to talk to as well. His classes are structured yet flexible, and he uses presentations and materials that cater to my learning needs. As a beginner of Italian, I felt comfortable in his classes and feel encouraged to learn more. There is a great balance of input and output, which really helps with remembering new words and useful phrases!
