My name is Teacher Karen. I am from the State of California, in the USA, currently residing in Thailand.
I have a Degree in Creative Writing and TEFL Certificate to teach English as a Foreign Language. I have been teaching all levels and abilities for nearly 15 years, during which time I have guided students planning to sit the IGCSE and IELTS exams. All of those students who took the exams received respectable band scoresMe as a Teacher

I like trying to make learning fun and interesting by using various methods and proven teaching techniques. I am prepared to bring fun, engaging conversations and topcis to every meeting no matter the skill or confidence levels. I use a variety of media like photos, PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, external websites and more to help guide students on their exciting learning journey.My lessons & teaching style
I invite my students to choose any topic they wish to talk about during our time together, but I will also be happy to begin our conversations with prepared topics if students feel more comfortable with this approach. I also invite my students to allow me to correct their pronunciation and grammar as needed, but I also do not want to discourage my students in any way, and so I like to allow them the opportunity to correct their own mistakes while providing guidance and support. On completion of a course, students will feel confident in their ability to have conversations with other English speakers and won't feel bad if they still make little mistakes. "To err is human." ESL Teacher Government SchoolsI have taught ESL in several schools in Thailand from Kindergarten to year 13 for nearly 11 years. I have taught beginners and assisted in exam preparation courses for IELTS and Cambridge IGCSE. I have also taught Business English to adults privately from time to time. I have retained materials for all levels and all student needs and will provide structured lessons for all specific learning needs.
