About Me

I taught Russian as a foreign language to my classmates at the university. Also, for a long time, I was a Russian tutor for high school pupils and freshmen in the HSE University, helping them understand complex grammatical rules, vocabulary, punctuation, and pronunciation. Besides, I took part in an international program, called "Conversations HSE University - Indiana University" aimed to help American students to practise conversational Russain.
In the educational process I pay great attention to the student's engagement, I try not only to teach them the rules of the language but also to help them fall in love with Russian and Russia.My lessons & teaching style
I use an individual approach to each student, I select a new program for each student and adjust it depending on the progress. My lessons differ according to the level: for students with a high level of Russian, I usually chose conversational classes aimed at developing speaking skills and understanding audio information. We also study the complex rules of Russian grammar. For beginners, I conduct lessons based on the basic rules of the Russian language. Also, all my lessons include classes on Russian history, literature and culture.My teaching material

I just had my first Russian lesson with Sofy on Italki, and it was an amazing experience! 🎉

Sofy is a great teacher because she explains words by putting them into complete sentences. She also gives idiomatic variations of the same sentence so that you can see different ways that real Russians will say something in real life. When she teaches a new word, she also provides several synonyms and explains the subtle differences between the synonyms. She also speaks perfect English. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Russian.
