I enjoy cooking, horseback riding, crocheting, playing chess, and learning languages. I speak fluent Russian, English and some Spanish, so I do understand language learning. I just had my first Russian lesson with Sofy on Italki, and it was an amazing experience! 🎉
During the lesson, Sofy asked me questions to assess my current level and understand my learning goals. This made the lesson highly relevant and catered specifically to what I needed to learn.

Sofy is a great teacher because she explains words by putting them into complete sentences. She also gives idiomatic variations of the same sentence so that you can see different ways that real Russians will say something in real life. When she teaches a new word, she also provides several synonyms and explains the subtle differences between the synonyms. She also speaks perfect English. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Russian.
