Learning should be fun! I am a very interactive tutor who loves to teach! Hello! I’m Lauri, a passionate and dedicated conversational English tutor with a knack for making learning both lively and engaging. Over the past three years, I’ve had the joy of helping students from diverse backgrounds gain confidence in their English speaking skills. My journey in teaching began after I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Baruch College, where I honed my ability to connect with people and communicate effectively. Currently, I embrace the digital nomad lifestyle, traveling while working remotely, which allows me the flexibility to invest quality time in my students. Whether you’re looking to improve your English for travel, work, or everyday conversations, I can relate to a wide variety of people and this ability to connect with my students draws out their full potential. I try to do a mix of activities in each lesson, focusing on different skills. So I will usually do one exercise on grammar, one exercise on vocabulary, and one or two exercises on a particular business skill like meetings, e-mails, presenting, telephoning, negotiations, small talk, etc. I also talk to you about your work week so I can give you feedback on your sentence structure and pronunciation, and simply to give you some speaking time.

My English lesson with Lauri was excellent. Lauri is a very kind, positive, and friendly teacher, and the conversation with her is always pleasant and natural. During the lesson, I felt relaxed and motivated to speak, which is very important for me when learning English. The class was not only useful but also fun. I’m already looking forward to our next lesson!
