I have been teaching languages since 2013. I am TEFL, TEYL and Business English certified. I also know from my own experience as a student that meeting with a tutor can be scary. So I like to keep my classes as relaxed as possible while still being professional.
Each student has different goals and learning styles, so my first goal as a teacher is to get to know you better. I want to give my students skills that are relevant to their lives and interests. My lessons & teaching style
My teaching philosophy: I firmly believe that ANY person can learn ANY language. I also believe that people today don’t just learn by reading, but also by observing, watching, interacting and discussing.
Student Talking Time: I work to let my student talk as much as possible, so they get the practice they need and build their confidence in the language. Instead of talking a lot myself, I like to ask questions that get my students thinking and expressing themselves.
Variety: A bored student doesn't learn, so I like to keep things interesting by talking about topics that are important to YOU.My teaching material

Extensive experience translating/interpreting in a variety of settings, subjects and dialects. Interpreter for Reynolds School District, Oregon since November 2019. This work helps keeps my language skills sharp and reminds me that no matter how long a person has been studying a language, there is always something new to learn.
