I am a friendly but expert language instructor and language course engineer from Switzerland. I lived many years in Brazil, the US, went to university in Switzerland, and concluded my master's degree in language education in S. Korea with the highest GPA 4.46/4.5.
I was rated in the top 1% among German teachers on italki for 2022 and I take great pride in my professionalism and attention to detail. My lessons are carefully structured and organized, with a strong framework that ensures maximum understanding, retention, and success.

My teaching style focuses on providing students with a comprehensive, effective, and challenging approach to language learning that is also interactive and dynamic. Don't expect me to just fill you up with knowledge - that is what teachers do; I will regularly and positively challenge your understanding and memory of things we covered.
I emphasize the importance of understanding the underlying patterns and structures of the language by explaining and demonstrating even complicated grammar patterns in a very simple way.
My lessons build upon each other to promote a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the language.

I came with no German knowledge and I'm incredibly satisfied with the pedagogy, dynamics and structure of the course offered by Josias. I can attest to the claim that his course is engineered stemming from cutting-edge methods. He provides convenient PDFs after each class, removing much of the friction to study. Lessons build up nicely on each other. Paramount is the constant challenge ingrained into the lessons. I've been three months taking +2 weekly classes, and look forward to have more during the ensuing months.
