About Me

My name is Amit, I am from Israel, and I am an independent art curator and a student for an MA in contemporary art theory. I am especially interested in participatory Art, Performance Art, and relational aesthetics. I see potential in Art for bringing people together and that is what drives me. Although it is a bit of a cliché, it is also true, that my main interest in life is meeting people, talking, and thinking together. And that is also the reason I chose to learn new languages myself and become a Hebrew tutor here. I See languages as portals to cultures and as something that can make you belong and connect with new communities and discover new voices within yourself.

Me as a Teacher

I tend more towards an informal and casual style though I don’t mean to always give you an easy time, I am very serious about wanting my pupils to progress.

My lessons & teaching style

I like to use songs and playful ways to learn and also enjoy and believe in conversation-based lessons. I use different forms of repetition and memorization methods, which can actually make you feel like what you are learning is sinking in and becoming automatic.
