About Me

Hello everyone, I am Tijana, a person passionate about science and languages and native Serbian speaker who lives in Montenegro. In the last two years, I have tutored over 170 Serbian classes to learners from the USA and German speaking countries in exchange for English and German language practice. After completing my studies of experimental biology and biotechnology, I have traveled extensively, and have visited many European countries. My hobbies include arts and crafts such as weaving and polymer clay, just to name few. I just love writing and that is why I run a blog. I have published 3 scientific papers. For me the glass is always half full!

Me as a Teacher

Considering the fact that I am a language learner myself, I am familiar with the difficulties you can encounter on your way to fluency. I am committed, motivated and able to transfer these qualities to my students and also implement them in my classroom.

My lessons & teaching style

I have an individual approach to every single student depending on their level, language goals and interests but I will suggest them all to: break big goals into mini-missions, set their environment for home immersion, try speaking from day one and use spaced repetition and flashcards. We will be learning in context and in a structured manner or just have a conversational practice. We will also learn through structure and repetition. Don’t worry about making mistakes! They are a natural part of the learning process and we will fix them together.
