Hello! It's been 2 years teaching Spanish on italki now. So far I've had a great experience and I've had incredible students. Would you join them?
I'm a translator and linguist. I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently. I'm passionate about literature and arts. My main hobbies are reading and writing, specially poetry and fiction. And I'm currently learning Italian, German and Quechua!
Besides that, I'm a podcaster, an amateur photographer, and I enjoy hiking, painting, baking, and playing videogames. And I started editing, illustrating and publishing books on 2024, it's my new thing now! I could say I like both indoor and outdoor activities.Me as a Teacher
- A relaxed atmosphere is an essential part of any lesson. Even for grammar lessons, I always try to make things simpler.
- I totally love when the student asks lots of questions about Spanish, it enriches the lesson! Showing dedication and interest for a language is key to connect with natives and makes social interactions more rewarding.
-There's always room for mistakes and perfection, that means I'll be there supporting you whenever you conjugate an irregular verb in the subjunctive perfectly or horribly!
- Respect is our best tool to understand each other.My lessons & teaching style
- I'd suggest we use Skype for our lessons, it's the best communication tool in my experience.
- Games are a good way to practice what we learn, so I may include some simple games to guide you during our lesson.
- I can offer personalized materials for you to learn about topics you like, mainly documents about grammar with examples, or vocabulary lists and quizzes.
At the end, if you wish, I could give you feedback on grammar or pronunciation mistakes made during our conversation, as well as pointing out what you are great at!

Spanish Language Variations, Correction and Style - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona - 2022I was required to study different Spanish dialects from Spain and Argentina, reading and analysing literary/academic texts. I had to opportunity to compare those variations to my own dialect, Peruvian, and I learnt how to differentiate the subtleties of the language.
