Hi, I’m Lowell—a retired business English specialist with over four decades of hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and ecommerce at Fortune 500 companies. Throughout my corporate career, I’ve navigated high-stakes negotiations, led cross-functional teams, and crafted compelling pitches—all while mastering the nuances of professional communication in English. Once I understand the students needs I tailor my time with them to their particular situation.
I like to listen and evaluate at first then bring into the session the necessary materials.
If a student needs help with say conference calls or presentation skills. This is where I might have role plays available to give the student experience in thinking quickly and in a different setting than just talking one on one. My lessons & teaching style
My style as community tutor is to engage with conversation. Quickly assess what areas need improvement and bring in the necessary materials that will help the student improve. If this is a student that wants to improve English skills in a business setting. We would do business conference call role plays or possibly a internet business meeting if the platform allows.
