Qasim Alawneh

I had a wonderful lesson with Qasem, our second lessons. A speaking lesson where we spoke in Arabic. I did most of the talking and he came with follow up questions to let the conversation flow and continue etc. and corrections and pointers, and my lessons with him are exactly what I was looking for.

Just completed my 20th lesson with Qasim and I am astounded at the progress we've made together over this time. From speaking primarily in English and extremely slow Arabic, to being able to engage in varied conversations at a natural, local pace, there has been a huge improvement in my Arabic - all thanks to Qasim. He has a strong understanding of both English and Arabic diacritic and colloquialisms and is able to answer each of my odd questions about Arabic very clearly, and he often gives very relatable analogies to help me understand things further, which I love. He has taught me so much in terms of local idioms and Levantine dialect that is near impossible to come by through conventional learning. I thoroughly enjoy each lesson and am always looking forward to the next - Qasim has become more of a friend than a teacher during this time and I can't recommend him enough to help those struggling with Arabic at any level.

Qasim is the best online teacher I have ever had in teaching me Arabic. With past teachers, my family and I were not satisfied and felt like I was learning extremely slow. With only a couple lessons with Qasim, my family, friends, and relatives have all seen an enhancement and increased knowledge in the Arabic language. I can have long conversations with the terms Qasim has taught me, and I've never been a good reader in the Arabic language until now. I still have many lessons to complete with Qasim, but at the pace that we are currently in, I will be fluent in Arabic in no time!
