Hey there! My name is Ian, and I was born and raised in Barcelona. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French fluently, and I'm currently on trying to learn some Dutch. I have a passion for languages and different cultures, specially if we are talking about food. I did my bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting in French and Japanese, and even though I wish I could say I'm fluent in Japanese, that's a story for another day haha! At the moment, I find myself in Belgium, studying a master's degree in Specialised translation in Spanish-French and English-French. I love to do many things on my free time, but my top one would be going for a coffee.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I'm somebody who's always trying to make sure that my students can reach their language goals. As a language student myself, I understand how hard it can be at times to improve or learn a language. Therefore, I try to make sure to adapt to each one of my students to ensure a satisfactory learning.My lessons & teaching style
My classes are quite flexible. Before our class, we will briefly discuss the details of where you are at in your language journey, what your goals are and what your expectations are. From here, I will try to give you a lesson based on your level and interests. So, nothing is off-topic in our sessions! You love politics, activism, cars...? Little does it matter, we can find a way to incorporate your interests into the class to make it more appealing to you, while also ensuring that we cover the essentials.My teaching material
