I am an American citizen with a B.A. Degree in Business/Marketing and an MBA in Business Administration. In addition, I live and work in Japan. I am native English speaker(American accent) as well as having fluency in Japanese. I have nearly 20years experience teaching ESL English at Japanese universities and online. Hello. My name is Scott. I am an American but live in Japan. I have lived in Japan for many years. I enjoy racquetball, reading, youtube, American baseball, traveling, hiking and walking in nature. In addition to my online teaching, I work as an investor and financial consultant. I find "fulfillment" in watching my students improve. I am skilled at breaking down/simplifying ideas making it easier for students to understand and to use. I have taught many students on italki. I encourage future students to read my numerous positive student comments. I look forward to meeting you and helping you improve your English speaking abilities.My lessons & teaching style
I am a very experienced teacher having taught "thousands" of students online during my teaching career. My "main focus" is to help you (1) build your vocabulary (2) improve your pronunciation (3) improve your voice intonation(while reading) and (4) improve your listening comprehension.
My lessons are fun with a "combination" of speaking, reading and listening with a "focus on" conversation. Free chat lessons, article discussions and short conversation PDF's are often used in my lessons.
I offer Trial Lessons. During a trail lesson there are 3 parts. PART 1: a short/brief student introduction. PART 2: a brief explanation of my lessons PART 3: answering any questions from students.My teaching material

I can learn a lot of knowledge in Scott's lessons, not only speaking, but also economics and policies. Besides, he is a good listener, I can share a lot of things with him and he will answer me in a funny way. Sooo lucky to meet Scott on italki.
