Hola, mi nombre es Azael, profesor de español y anfitrión del Podcast Stairway to Spanish. Tengo 9 años de experiencia enseñando español y me apasiona mucho. También tengo mucho interés en otras culturas, viajes, tecnología, política, no ficción, y temas actuales. Viví en Japón por un año y fue muy interesante. Actualmente vivo en la hermosa ciudad de Puebla.
Hello, my name is Azael, I'm from Mexico. I’m a professional Spanish teacher and host of Stairway to Spanish Podcast. I have a bachelor’s degree in teaching Languages. I have taught English and Spanish, but only Spanish for the last 9 years. I love teaching. I'm also interested in other cultures, traveling, technology, politics, etc.Me as a Teacher
Como profesor soy una persona paciente que cree que todos aprendemos a diferentes ritmos y de maneras diferentes, aunque hay cosas que todos podemos hacer para mejorar. He enseñado a estudiantes de varios países, y mi principal interés es ayudarte a practicar y mejorar tu Español.
I consider myself a patient teacher who believes that everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways, although there are certain things we all can do to improve. Puedo diseñar clases basadas en tu nivel de español, metas e intereses. Podemos trabajar con conversaciones espontáneas, temas de conversación que te interesen, lecturas, etc. También podemos tener clases más estructuradas en las que estudiemos gramática, usemos ejercicios orales y escritos, role-playings, y otras actividades comunicativas.
I can design lessons based on your Spanish level, goals and interests. We can have spontaneous conversations, conversations based on specific topics, readings, etc. We can also have a more structured approach with grammar practice, exercises or speaking activities like role-playings.Certificates

I'm impressed by how Azael can go with the flow as I forgot to send him what I wanted to work on beforehand! I read in prior reviews that he is good at explaining and clarifying concepts that you may struggle with. I brought up two grammar topics that I get confused in when speaking and trying to understand Spanish. I really feel that he was able to go with the flow and I FINALLY understand them in a more solid way. Thank you!!

Amazing!! My favorite thing about learning Spanish with Azael is that I feel like I am his only student - even though he has a full schedule!! I started knowing nothing about Spanish. Now I have a basic vocabulary, can conjugate basic verbs, count numbers, and also got over my fear of speaking a language I am not fluent in. Thank you very much.

I appreciated that Azael took the time to speak at a pace & level I could understand. He was also very collaborative in finding out what approach would work best for me in my learning journey and shared helpful examples of what they would be like. He also offered gentle corrections, both written and spoken which I appreciated. I’m planning on scheduling more sessions with Azael!
