Hi everyone, my name is Yuji. I was born and raised in Korea, and moved to the US since my late-20s. I can help you learn Korean in any level, from basic to advanced/academic level, in efficient way. I love to explore different cultures and various cuisines as well as Korean culture/food. I also love traveling, has been many countries in Asia and Europe.Me as a Teacher
저는 친구들을 비롯해 외국에 사는 친척들이 한국어를 배울 수 있도록 튜터링을 해온 경험이 있습니다. 저는 한국에서 오랜 시간 지냈고, 미국으로 이사온 후에도 한국에 자주 방문해왔기 때문에, 한국 사회에서 공유되는 문화적 배경이나 유행어들을 잘 알고 있습니다. 궁극적으로는 여러분이 더 자연스러운 한국어를 배울 수 있도록 도울 수 있죠. 또 저는 이공계열 대학을 졸업했기 때문에 고급 한국어 구사가 자유롭습니다. I have been tutoring my friends and extended family members who lived abroad to learn Korean. Since I have lived in Korea for most of my life and I visit there quite often after moving to the US, I'm familiar with cultural reference and urban slang, which can help you to learn more natural Korean language. Additionally, I obtained Bachelor of Science in a university, which allows me to fluently speak/write/understand very advance level Korean with academic jargon.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons will be tailored for each student's level/desires.
For beginner/intermediate level, and with the regular sessions, the curriculum will be based on the teaching materials that I tailor for each student's level. However, if a student wants to only practice conversational Korea, we can do that too. 초보자/중급자의 경우에는 교재를 중심으로 수업이 진행될 것입니다. 회화 연습만 하고 싶은 경우에 그렇게 할 수 있습니다.
For upper-intermediate/advance level, I highly recommend to read articles/news together, or in advance for even better practice, and practice to summarize and discuss about the reading materials together. It can help to learn new vocabulary, expressions, and focus on speaking. 중/고급자의 경우에는 신문 기사나 뉴스를 함께 공부하는 것을 가장 추천합니다.Education
