Hi! I'm Sae. I am a certified Japanese language teacher.
I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I speak standard Japanese.
My major was Chinese language and I have lived in China for 2 years. I currently live in the U.S.
My hobbies are traveling, cooking, and watching movie/anime. I also like to learn about other cultures and languages.

I started teaching Japanese online in 2020. I have experience teaching mostly Chinese and Western students. I can tailor lessons to suit your learning style. I will do counselling with you before your first lesson in order to assess your Japanese learning style.

We can learn Japanese grammar through textbook study, or we can focus on improving reading skills by reading online news.
If you would like a more casual learning experience, we can practice Japanese simply by free talk. I can decide which topic, or you can tell me what you want to talk about.
＊In my class, I use a "Direct Method" for teaching, which means I will try to only speak Japanese in my class. I believe that can help to improve your listening and speaking skills.

Another great lesson! We went over two articles and discussed the topic. I also got to read them out loud to work on my pronunciation. I can already see the improvement on my reading and speaking skills. ^-^
