Hello, My name is Norman. I'm a retired teacher living in Thailand. I enjoy gardening and wood working and anything I can do with my hands. I live with my Thai partner. Originally, I'm from the USA and grew up in Los Angeles at a beach town, Redondo Beach.
Me as a Teacher
During my teaching career, I taught elementary students, adults in a job training program and English as Second Language. While I've been retired in Thailand, I have volunteered to teach English to students from Myanmar who are working in Thailand.
My lessons & teaching style
I try to understand why a student wants to study English and give him or her materials and vocabulary that are appropriate. For example, a hotel employee would have different instruction than a student who needs to pass an English exam. I often use materials that I find on the BBC Learning English website and the British Council.

Norman searched helpful documents for me. I need time to review all of them and then we can continue our class in June. Thank you so much!
