ことな先生 does an amazing job of explaining things without using English at a level that I can understand by using a combination of words that I know along with images and text. I think speaking is my weakest aspect, and she makes it easy to talk about anything and provides corrections for any mistakes and even alternate ways to say things in a more natural way I don't feel worried or nervous about making mistakes ( I make a lot! ) I have been impressed with how quickly ことな先生 has been able to speak using grammatical structures that I can understand (somewhere between N5-N4) and she helps explain ones that I don't. I highly recommend ことの先生 for anyone of any level!

Kotona-sensei is great with personalizing lessons! I brought up an upcoming trip to Japan, and she took what we were learning at the time and worked that into a role play scenario of checking in at a hotel. She will find a way to incorporate interests that you've brought up into lessons. Can't recommend highly enough!

Great as always!

Another great lesson with Kotona-sensei! She has been teaching me for about 6 months. I hadn’t taken a lesson in 2 months, so I was nervous to come back. But it went fine! I actually asked her to help me with understanding/translation of song lyrics. It made me really happy that she was accommodating with tailoring the lesson to my interests! After that, we did some listening and grammar practice as usual. I always walk away from her lessons with more confidence and feeling like more of my goals are accomplished, which is why I keep signing up for lessons with her! いつもありがとうございます！
