Certified EFL teacher, teaching English since 2014 Hi there! I’m Iban, a qualified and experienced English teacher. I’m American. I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures. My hobbies are writing, reading, swimming, hiking, suspense movies, and playing the accordion, among many others. I’m here to help you learn English. I look forward to hearing from you! After graduating from University, I obtained my 120-hour TEFL certificate and TESOL diploma, and I’ve been teaching English since 2014. I’ve taught adults, teens and children, and I’ve taught general English, business English and exam preparation lessons. I've taught all levels, but mostly B1, B2 and C1. When the pandemic arrived, I switched to online teaching, and since then, I’ve been combining in-class with online teaching. I love teaching, it brings me so much satisfaction to see my students make progress, and I find I learn a lot from them too! My lessons are focused on students’ needs. I always ask students if they’d like me to correct their mistakes the instant they make them, or if they’d rather I wait until they finish the sentence or idea, so as not to interrupt them. My aim is for students to feel free to express themselves in English without worrying about making mistakes, and for them to ask me as many questions as they want. I love to engage into conversations with my students. I think conversation is the best way for them to become more fluent. Homework is optional :)
