Hey guys! My name is Kosuke. I was born in Japan and now I live in New Zealand.
My passion is surfing and my hobby is travelling around NZ in my camper van.

My motto is to make sure my students have FUN while studying with me. I provide a space for my students to practice real-world Japanese. I know from personal experience that the language used in a textbook is COMPLETELY different to the language used in real life. I’m here to teach you natural-sounding Japanese that is sure to be helpful, whether speaking to friends, travelling Japan, or just watching anime!

When learning Japanese, it’s important to put the things you learn to the test in a real-life scenario. That’s why in my classes, I give you the opportunity to talk about a topic of your choice in a natural conversational environment. Feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will correct any unnatural-sounding Japanese as we go.
I’ll do my best to gauge an understanding of where your Japanese is at and center each class around areas of difficulty. By working on areas you find tricky, your Japanese is sure to improve!
僕は言語はインプット回数よりもアウトプットする回数の方が大事だと考えています。クラスの中ではフリートークをしながらみなさんが気になる点、僕が気になった点を直して行きます。

Have been enjoying my lessons with Kosuke. I’m probably his oldest student by a long shot but he always makes me feel comfortable and not under pressure. Real Japanese conversation is still a distant hope on my part. Even if progress is minimal
I’m glad I signed up . Kosuke’s ability to speak English has been helpful too.
