Native Spanish & English | 30+ Years Teaching | NeuroBoost Method Native Spanish & English | 30+ Years Teaching | 4.9★ (316 Reviews) | 3,000+ Lessons on italki Since 2013 I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and spent part of my childhood in New York — so both Spanish and English are truly native to me. After studying philosophy in Paris and English literature in London, I found my real calling: helping people learn languages in a way that feels natural instead of stressful. Over the past three decades I developed NeuroBoost, a method combining Sophrology (which I studied directly under its founder, Dr. Alfonso Caycedo, in Bogotá), Suggestopedia, and Superlearning. In practice, this means lessons built around relaxation and visualization techniques that help you absorb vocabulary and speak with less mental blocking. Many students tell me it's the calmest, most enjoyable language learning they've experienced — while still making real progress. I've taught on italki since 2013, with over 3,000 lesson hours, a 4.9-star rating across 316 reviews, and 100% attendance and response rates. My students come from more than 30 countries, from complete beginners to those refining fluency for work, travel, or exams. I bring real teaching structure and a distinctive method built on relaxation and deep engagement with language and culture — not one instead of the other. Try a 45-minute NeuroBoost trial lesson and feel the difference for yourself. 🚀

Hoy necesitaba el superaprendizaje. Me he estado muy ocupado y he tenido mucho estrés últimamente. Estoy tan contento haber regresado. Hoy el superaprendizaje me ayudó a escuchar y leer al nivel más alto que antes. Voy a continuar con aún más gusto.

Senora Evelyn creates a welcoming environment for learning. Her patience is greatly appreciated, as I’m an older learner working on grasping a new language. At the end of each session, I’m left excited to continue to learn and for the next session. Senora Evelyn takes a friendly approach conducive for success.
