Fun, Supportive English Lessons Based on How Languages Are Acquired. Clear & Confident English | Conversation, Pronunciation, Grammar Hi! I’m Nicholas, an English tutor from Canada based in Japan. I help students speak more clearly, sound more natural, and feel more confident in real English conversations. I have experience teaching English as an ALT in Japanese elementary schools, and I have also taught one-on-one English lessons. My academic background is in linguistics, with a minor in Japanese, so I enjoy explaining how English works clearly and practically. My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and focused on real communication. 🎯 What You’ll Get ✅ Natural conversation practice with clear feedback ✅ Pronunciation support for clearer speaking ✅ Grammar explanations that make sense ✅ Useful corrections and better phrasing ✅ Beginner support in Japanese when helpful Most of my lessons focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and everyday communication. We can talk about topics that interest you while also working on the English you need to improve. 🧠 My Teaching Style I combine my background in linguistics with practical language teaching experience. I am also interested in how people learn languages in classroom and tutoring settings, so my lessons include meaningful speaking practice, targeted feedback, and chances to build fluency step by step. You do not need to speak perfectly. Mistakes are part of learning. My goal is to help you speak more naturally, understand English more clearly, and become more confident.
