I've studied Greek long enough that many people tell me there is no point in taking lessons, and I've been long on the lookout for someone who can help me improve even though I'm a teacher myself. George was not only willing to support my desire, but well-equipped to do so. He was incredibly skilled at allowing me to talk, directing the conversation in interesting directions, and giving feedback that was helpful and well-timed. After only one lesson, I can already tell that he is a diamond in the rough, and I will continue to work with him for as long as he is teaching.

To be able to teach someone something, you have to have the knowledge, the desire to do it, and the patience to allow the student to find the pace and methods that work best for them. George is gifted with a brilliant mind and is very kind. He knows how to help his student move on, he is definitely a special person and I highly recommend him!

I really enjoy my lessons with George. He is patient and friendly and always comes to our lessons well prepared with a variety of different materials. George has been able to explain some challenging texts in such a way that I am able to understand. I would particularly recommend George to anyone wishing to work on their pronunciation - he excels at that - something which not all teachers appear comfortable doing. George also speaks English fluently, something which I believe is useful, especially for students who are at the start of their Greek language-learning journey. Overall, a really great teacher!

It’ an amazing experience with Yorgos because what can be confused at the beginning suddenly became clear and you realize that you are speaking in Greek thanks to him! Highly recommended.

Giorgos always builds on our previous lessons, remembers previous conversations and asks questions based on what we've discussed. There is a good continuity to the sessions.
