Zdravo! I’m Nevena Jović, a certified Serbian teacher based in the vibrant city of Belgrade, Serbia’s bustling capital. Teaching Serbian isn’t just my profession—it’s my passion. Over the years, I’ve honed a teaching style that makes the language accessible and engaging for learners at all levels, whether you’re starting from scratch or polishing your fluency. My lessons go beyond grammar and vocabulary; they’re a gateway to Serbian culture, helping you not only speak the language but truly understand the heart and soul of the Balkans. I enjoy playing sports, rock music, as well as other genres. I also love reading books that enrich my life, traveling, meeting new people and cultures.Me as a Teacher
The process of learning a language and adopting language rules and the spirit of the language is something I have always been interested in, and that is how I became a teacher. I like to teach others and to participate in the process of mastering the language. I believe that this is how both the teacher and the student become ennobled. Also, I consider myself a patient person for whom there is nothing insurmountable when it comes to students and the learning process.My lessons & teaching style
I use an individual approach in my classes. I approach each student individually and adjust the program depending on his level of language knowledge and what he wants to master the most. In my classes, I use dedicated professional literature adapted for learning for those whose mother tongue is not Serbian. I compose lessons for grammar sections with explanations and create exercises and tests tailored to each student. Also, I try to make the students relaxed and have a nice and fun time when we learning a new language. I tailor each session to your unique goals, whether you’re learning for travel, work, settling abroad or simply out of love for this rich linguistic tradition.My teaching material
