My name is Tinatin. I was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia.
I studied fashion design and my biggest passion is art. My interests include art(drawing, painting, digital and fashion illustration), literature, yoga and spirituality, gardening, traveling, and learning foreign languages.
I've been teaching on itallki for over a year. Georgian is my native language but I also speak English, Russian, and a bit of Italian. My wish is to be able to talk to the language of the place that I'm visiting while traveling. I really enjoy being in nature, especially in the mountains and one of my biggest desires is not to be tied to one place or a city so that I can travel the world.Me as a Teacher
I started teaching Georgian in mid-2022 and it took me only a week to "fall in love" with this job.
I enjoy meeting new people; I also like sharing my knowledge. So being a teacher gives me an opportunity to have both.My lessons & teaching style
If you just started learning Georgian, I will teach you the alphabet, reading, writing, and pronunciation. I will teach you basic, most frequently used words and phrases. Afterward, we can move to the conversational part and reading/listening comprehension.
If you have basic knowledge, we can have free conversations during which I will correct your mistakes, give you suggestions, and provide you with new words.
I prefer customized lessons based on the student's needs and experiences instead of having a strict structure since different people might have different preferences, experiences, desires. Therefore, I am open to any suggestions. Let's meet and discuss our own preferable lesson styleMy teaching material

Tinatin has been delving into some fascinating parts of Georgian grammar. This time, she described and gave examples of intentional vs unintentional verbs. These unique aspects of Georgian keep me coming back, and Tinatin keeps me interested. I also love the conversations we have every lesson.

We worked through a couple conversations. First, we discussed marriage and the associated vocabulary. Second, we discussed my upcoming trip and more vocabulary. These discussions led to some grammar and word-formation rules, which helped me understand better some vocabulary I had already learned.

A great lesson! We carried out a great conversation. Tinatin spoke slowly enough for me to gather much of her words, and she wrote down new vocabulary--and refreshed my memory on old vocabulary. Towards the end, we ran across an interesting grammar point (Georgian is full of them!). We both got excited about that--very fun :)
