My name is Diana. I hold a master's degree in Philology and have 7 years of experience as a teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language. I have worked with people from over 50 countries, and recently, I have been teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language to bilingual children and adults. I have prepared students for the External Independent Testing (EIT) in Ukraine.
I am passionate about Ukrainian and world literature, music, and cinema. I can work with children for whom Ukrainian is not their native language and with native speakers.
Me as a Teacher
I have over 7 years of teaching experience, with 5 years focused on Ukrainian as a foreign language. For 3 years, I taught language classes in both elementary and high school.
During lessons, I pay special attention to grammar through contemporary pop culture, as I believe that the Ukrainian language and culture integrate well into the global cultural space and provide opportunities to master other Slavic languages. In the lessons, I pay special attention to practicing conversational vocabulary.
My lessons & teaching style
I teach language through the lens of cultural peculiarities, incorporating music, cinematography, pop culture, and literature. I predominantly utilize communicative teaching methods, a natural approach, and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT).
