Hello! My name is Jason and I am a career teacher. I'm a native English speaker from the United States with a master's in education, and have taught English as a Second Language in several countries around the world. I now work as an ESL teacher in Washington, DC with young ones, but enjoy working with adults teaching online. Aside from teaching, I like to stay fit by running and playing tennis. I'm also a student of Spanish so I know the difficulties of learning a foreign language. I'm a very positive teacher with a gentle tone but always willing to correct when I notice an error. I'm used to working with young students, so I like to have a little fun at times. Speaking is the best way to practice, so interesting conversation is key. My lessons are based on the students' interests- they can be grammar based, conversation or writing focused, or a mix of everything. The first class, we'll get to know each other and I'll learn what your goals are for your studies. I'm always looking for feedback so we can improve our future lessons, so if you're looking for anything specific or have a desired topic to talk about, I'm always open to that. Let's get learning!
