A translator who loves Ukrainian unconditionally I’ll be on holiday from October 23rd to November 10th. 🏖️ My November schedule is already fully available! Hi! I’m Alyona, a Ukrainian teacher, translator and certified English teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Philology. I’m currently doing my Master’s in Ukrainian Language and Literature. I teach Ukrainian from complete beginners to advanced levels. My lessons follow the official standard for Ukrainian as a foreign language and the general proficiency levels A1 to C2. This gives us structure and clarity so you always know where you are and where we are going next. I genuinely love grammar. I know it has a reputation, but I promise it is actually helpful and not here to ruin your day. We always connect it to speaking so it becomes something practical, not just rules on paper. Every lesson is adapted to you. Your goals, your interests, your learning style. Some students want more speaking, some want more structure, some want a balance. I adjust everything so it feels comfortable and manageable, not overwhelming. I like to keep lessons relaxed and human. We talk about things that feel real and useful and sometimes we laugh at the fact that Ukrainian grammar looks scary but is actually quite logical once you get used to it. Mistakes are completely fine here. They are expected and they are one of the fastest ways to improve, so we use them, not fear them. My goal is simple: you understand what you are doing, you feel supported, and you actually see progress ☺️

Alyona is amazing! Had my first lesson with her as a complete beginner, helped me get through the basics and some tough pronunciations. Can’t wait for the next lesson… Bring it on

Another great lesson with Alyona. She has a good understanding of my current level of ability, and more confidence in me than currently I have in myself - the sign of a good teacher. As always I have come away from this lesson feeling that I have made some progress. Very happy.

Taking lessons with Alyona has been fantastic! She is very relaxed and fun to chat with as I attempt to shore up my Ukrainian skills. I can already feel my grammar improving and my vocabulary growing throughout our discussions.

I love exploring the new vocabulary with Alyona, it really helps me understand what I forgot and what I did not know in the first place, I enjoy being asked hilarious questions in the lesson and I look forward to talking about more topics with her!
