My name is Ethan Banks, I am an English teacher, I live an hour north of Manchester, in the countryside surrounded by places you may have seen in a few films! As a language learner myself I have been learning Spanish for almost 4 years, and have used Italki as a student, so I understand the journey and what helped me most to keep it fun, and progressing at a good pace! I can be flexible in suiting the student, as sometimes I believe that casual conversation around a variety of topics can keep someone interested and excited by English, and other times a specific grammar rule of piece of text may be what the student needs/wants to master to progress. My lessons & teaching style I like using YouTube videos, newspapers and conversation exercises, articles from blogs, things with an interesting theme to hold your interest, while demonstrating the I think is necessary that students learn how to build sentences and also the reasoning behind why one thing may be correct and the other incorrect.
