Qualified Irish (Gaeilge) Teacher | Beginner & Adult Learners Dia duit! Is mise Shane and I am a qualified secondary school teacher of Irish (Gaeilge) and French from Ireland. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Irish, as well as a Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas degree (Professional Masters of Education through the medium of Gaeilge) from the University of Galway. I completed my teaching practice placements in two Gaeltacht schools and have attended numerous Irish language courses in the Gaeltacht both as a student and as a teacher. I am registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland and currently teach Irish and French full-time at secondary school level. Over the past seven years, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults at a wide range of levels. I also have extensive experience preparing students for the TEG (Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge) examinations, from A1 to C1 level. Whether you are learning Irish for school, work, examinations, teacher training, or personal interest, I can create lessons tailored to your individual goals and learning style. My lessons are supportive, interactive, and focused on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Irish.
