I have a passion for learning about other cultures and I've made many language exchange partners here on italki. I'm currently studying Korean. I'm an editor and proofreader, so I spend a lot of my time correcting written English. I'm also a content creator, which allows me to play video games in my spare time. I'm a very positive person who has a big heart. I love helping others and seeing them grow as people. A few years ago, I was approved to teach English in Korea, but I became sick. I've been struggling with chronic pain ever since then, so it has been a big adaptation trying to live life differently. But I'm thankful to have that opportunity to teach here on italki! I'm patient, friendly, and fun! I am easy to talk to, which often allows people to feel comfortable and be more open about the things they struggle with and want to improve. I like to encourage the student before I start correcting everything - unless that's your style! I adapt to each student and I think that's the most important part about me as a teacher. I believe everyone is different and has different styles of learning. I want to get to know people and what makes them excited to learn. I like to keep a friendly and encouraging atmosphere in my lessons, but that doesn't mean that I will let things slip by unnoticed. Although it was only my first lesson, I quickly felt comfortable conversing and exploring many different topics! Brittany made it easy to have a conversation and our discussion flowed quite naturally. We went over the things that I wanted to improve upon and came up with a plan for future sessions.
