Hi! I’m Michael Robson, a Canadian English teacher from Vancouver. I’ve taught adult learners from around the world, and I’m thrilled to meet you here on iTalki.
I specialize in conversation, fluency, and IELTS prep—especially Speaking and Writing, areas many students find challenging. Whether you’re building confidence or preparing for an exam, I’m here to help you soar. 🚀

In the past I’ve worked in teaching academies with 5-15 students each class (students ranged from every part of the world). I look forward to working with you on your conversation skills to help you in your future endeavours! I have a range of fun topics that should last us for weeks. Once our conversation topics are done, we can jump into some fun topics in an advanced Listening and Speaking textbook :) .My lessons & teaching style
I am happy to help you with Conversational English and your exams and interviews. I won’t dominate the class with my own voice, and I will encourage you to use as much English as possible!

Michael is incredibly attentive and has meticulously corrected numerous minor grammar issues, greatly aiding me in speaking more naturally. Furthermore, he has provided me with excellent idiomatic exercises for practice.I am indeed not proficient in using these idioms, but the exercises have been extremely helpful.

This class was very helpful. Michael's given me some tips of how to improve my fluency including reading more articles in IT field, utilizing AI chatboxes, etc. He also reminded me of my N and L pronunciations. The advice of N and L distinguishing was very useful. We then talked about the idea of books and he's shared me some materials about this topic. He's a great teacher.
