Intermediate and Up for Adult students - Conversations / IELTS / CELPIP / Interviews and more! 📢 Note: I do not teach children or teens under 18. Thanks for understanding! 😊 Hi! I’m Michael Robson, a Canadian English teacher from Vancouver. I’ve taught adult learners from around the world, and I’m thrilled to meet you here on iTalki. I specialize in conversation, pronunciation and fluency. Thank you to all my students for being kind, respectful, and open to different cultures. You’re the reason I love this work. 🙏 In the past I’ve worked in teaching academies with 5-15 students each class (students ranged from every part of the world). I look forward to working with you on your conversation skills to help you in your future endeavours! I have a range of fun topics that should last us for weeks. Once our conversation topics are done, we can jump into some fun topics in an advanced Listening and Speaking textbook :) . I am happy to help you with Conversational English, IELTS/CELPIP, and interviews in some industries. I won’t dominate the class with my own voice, and I will encourage you to use as much English as possible! Communication: Please select 'Zoom' as communication tools (not iTalki, which has limitations) :) If you prefer 腾讯会议 that works for me too! Please note: I appreciate all my students who show up on time! Please change/cancel 24hrs before the class starts, or the class will be confirmed and paid. As is standard on iTalki, if you are 15 minutes late for the class, the class is paid and finished. :)

Teacher’s pick

When I took the CELPIP last year, I only scored a 6 in both speaking and writing. After working with Michael, I took it again last week and scored 9s across the board! I owe it all to Michael and his structured lessons.

Michael is one of the kindest and most supportive native teachers I’ve met. I took lessons with him to prepare for a job interview and received helpful feedback not only on my English but also on interview strategies. I highly recommend him if you’re preparing for an interview!

Always great to have a class with Michael. Very kind, deep understanding of my needs and how to make me progress. Never forget the goal and always take me back to the straight path. Very energetic and easy to speak. Thanks again
