Annie (HSK,BUSINESS)

As a fan of Asian tea culture, I decided to learn Mandarin for fun. As luck would have it, I found Annie. It was 4 years ago. After 2 years learning together, I passed the HSK2 exam. A year later the HSK3. With Mandarin I had my ups and downs. Even lost inspiration a few times. Annie was always there to encourage and support: listened to my objectives and adapted flexibly to my learning style. As a professional teacher she makes each session fun and gives lots of tips how to deepen my knowledge.

Ms. Luo is a supportive and engaging instructor with tons of material perfectly suited to any student! I was nervous about my first Chinese lesson in over 4 years, but she is an expert at keeping the lesson paced perfectly and I did not feel lost at all. I have already learned more in 1 hour than I ever have studying alone!

Annie is an absolute pleasure to study with. She quickly assessed my level and needs and gives me just the combination of conversational practice and attention to the small details of grammar and syntax that I need. She has years of experience and provides copious materials, from videos and podcasts through to formal grammar guides and even picture stories. Class is always varied and if anything, goes too quickly as it is always a fun experience. Annie will always give nudges and reminders when you are on the wrong track or have a bad linguistic habit, and she has a knack for doing so without interrupting the flow of the class, which to my mind is testament to her experience. I started with Annie just a few months ago and at the time I had plateaued at the end of HSK4 level and was feeling I may not be able to progress further, but I am already seeing substantial progress not only in my language but also in my confidence. I honestly cannot recommend Annie enough.

I have been study with Annie bi-weekly for almost 4 years. She is always punctual and prepared, creates her own content that’s tailored to her students individual needs and prides herself on their success. I have seen noticeable progress in my reading, conversation and comprehension skills over the time I have studied with Annie and I love that she always encourages me to try the harder stuff! Thank you Annie!

Always great! Annie has tailored class to focus where I need support the most, but most importantly it is always fun to learn and chat at the same time. Looking forward to next week!
