My name is Grace Karanja. I am from Kenya. My hobbies include singing, going on Hikes, cooking food, and also learning the culture and language of other people.
I am an outgoing person who loves people.
I really enjoy Karaoke during the weekends.Me as a Teacher
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education, whereby I specialized in teaching the Swahili language.
I have been teaching Swahili for four years in secondary schools in Kenya.
I facilitate the learning process instead of taking over it and ensure that I tailor my lessons to what you want to learn.My lessons & teaching style
As i teach you, i will take into account your language level, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or at an advanced level.
I will teach you listening and speaking, writing, reading and grammar in Swahili.
We will focus on vocabulary and conversation practice and summarise the lesson by going through what we have learnt
Expect a fun one on one learning session with me
A lot of repetition will be used to ensure the correct pronunciation is grasped.

Grace has been phenomenal at teaching me Swahili. Her flexibility to teach me with the knowledge I already knew from when I was younger is wonderful. She listens, corrects when necessary, and knows what she's teaching. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher.

Grace was on time and had an excellent lesson prepared. She adapted well to my learning style, gave me helpful feedback on my pronunciation and grammar, and took time to review the lesson and clarify any questions I had. She taught me new vocabulary and structured the conversation practice really well. I left the lesson feeling confident I could have conversations about the seasons and weather. I look forward to our next lesson :)
