Hi! I'm a Japanese tutor who offers fun, relaxed lessons for adults who love anime, manga, or games.
Many of my students are in their late 20s, 30s, and 40s, and still enjoy their favorite characters just like they did in their youth.
They proudly keep their "otaku-gokoro"—a deep love for pop culture—no matter their age.
Whether you're returning after a long break or starting from zero, you're very welcome.

I have 15 years of experience teaching Japanese.
Currently, I work for a language company and provide lessons to learners from many backgrounds.
From 2016 to 2019, I also gave pre-employment training to non-Japanese staff at companies in Japan.
I'm friendly and flexible, and I love helping each student find the best way to enjoy learning.

My lessons are casual, fun, and focused on real communication.
I currently teach students from absolute beginner (zero knowledge) up to JLPT N3 level.
Lessons are personalized to match each student’s pace, level, and interests.
If you love anime or games, we can use those in class!
For beginners, I go slowly with basic grammar and easy conversation.
For intermediate learners, I focus on more natural expression and fluency.
I recommend at least one lesson a week to build steady progress.

Did a trial lesson for beginner Japanese with Atsuko-San. She was very kind, encouraging, and patient during the lesson. Her lesson materials included relevant phrases, characters, and names. The materials felt relatable and simple to follow. I encourage any others to give her lessons a try!
