June tailors our classes to fit my needs exactly. She perfectly blends a good amount of reading, speaking, and listening into our lessons on day to day and deep conversational topics. I have been seeing June regularly for the past few years (albiet not as often as I should) and I am so happy with my progress. I can now read essentially basic chinese (menus, text messages, books with my daughter), my listening comprehension has improved greatly, and I am able to converse and express myself. She is an amazing teacher, I highly recommend her

I've been learning with June for 7 months now and I am still amazed when I can read a passage. I had zero knowledge when we started. Her patience and flexibility ensure the lesson is unique to me and my goals.

This week was a review as I had to miss a lesson recently. I like June's approach to reviews because she combines new and old material together very well - so we will use newer vocabulary to review older grammar structures, etc. She is also always ready to help me expand on the concepts in many ways. For example, she encourages me to turn statements from the review into questions, change the vocabulary, change them from positive/agree to negative/disagree, give examples of conversations that would include the statement, etc. As always, it was a great lesson! Thank you!

I appreciate that she takes my interests to help me dive further into language learning. I’m really fascinated by the characters and how common radicals can connect similar words. She took the time to show me more examples of this with different radicals across many different words.
