About Me

I'm a native English speaker from the US. I've also spent a lot of time studying other languages, which will help in our lessons. Yo hablo español. Eu falo português. . Я говорю по-русски. Professionally I am an engineer and have worked in many factories. I'm also a programmer. In my free time, I play music, spend time in nature, experiment in the kitchen to make a variety of food, I study multiple languages on my own and on italki, and more. I've spent most of my life in the US, but have also spent ~3 years traveling/working/studying in other countries. I've had fun hosting conversation classes while abroad.

Me as a Teacher

My classes focus on conversation and are for intermediate and advanced learners. Lessons can be either informal or structured, but will always be based around conversation. We can discuss a wide range of topics - my goal is to make our discussions interesting for you. We can go in depth with topics that really interest you. Learning a language is easier when the process is fun and interesting. If you don't like certain topics, we will avoid those topics. I can give advice on overcoming various obstacles in language learning. I'm open to feedback, since different students have different learning styles.

My lessons & teaching style

I enjoy teaching conversation, and therefore my lessons are focused around natural conversation. As the teacher, I'll make sure the conversation keeps flowing.
