Hi! My name is Aliesia and I teach Ukrainian and Russian languages here on italki. I am from Ukraine and live in Kyiv. I graduated from pedagogical university. Learning languages is my passion, I thought it would be nice to teach Ukrainian and Russian to people around the globe. Some of my interests and hobbies are reading, traveling, ice skating, graphic design...Me as a Teacher
I believe that the teacher should use an individual approach to each student. So we will plan our lessons depending on your needs and language level. Also I think that conversational practice it's the key to learn and muster any language, Ukrainian, Russian is not an exception. Being an English learner myself I know how hard, frustrating and overwhelming it can be in times to learn a new language. I will do my best to make sure that you feel welcome and not overwhelmed by new information. My classes are a safe place for you to practice and make mistakes. I will correct you if it's needed. I have been working as a teacher for 3 years, and I teach English to preschoolers.My lessons & teaching style
On our first lesson we establish your level and goals, as well as your interests, hobbies, topics for conversations. I offer conversational practice, as well as provide with interesting material such as pictures for describing, articles, etc. I am looking forward to see you on my lessons! Another great lesson! She encouraged me to tell her the book summary of a book I read. This seemed scary at first but it really helped because I had to speak a lot, which I really appreciate. Instead of my usual short answer sentences, it made me talk and explain things. She answered my questions about grammar and checked my pronunciation. She is very patient and an amazing teacher. 😊 I really like her lessons.

I have been meeting with Alesia for a few months and she is always prepared for lessons. She remembers what we studied in previous lessons and builds on them. She is patient and corrects pronunciation and helps you sound out words.
