Hi! I’m Amir from Kabul, Afghanistan. I'm a passionate Dari speaker. I majored in English Language and Literature. I have more than four years of experience teaching Dari to non-Dari speakers, and more than six years of experience teaching English as an ESL teacher. I can speak Dari, English, Hindi, Pashto and Uzbeki. I’m highly interested in traveling, and learning about cultures and languages.Me as a Teacher
I’m a patient teacher, and I totally understand how to teach any level of students. I know how the language learning process should start from the beginning so that students feel confident, motivated and eager to carry on to the next level. I’m dedicated to my students. I believe I have an important job teaching them my language and culture. So, I really work hard to meet my students’ expectations and demands.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is mainly based on the needs of students. In my classes I begin talking to the students from the very first class, and they talk back to me. I also focus on correcting mistakes, pronouncing appropriately, and speaking with a clear and Afghan accent. In just a few classes you will be able to know the structure of Dari and start constructing your own sentences. You will have lots of fun learning Dari with me in an effortless and fun way.My teaching material

I’m really enjoying my daily lessons with Amir Jaan. He is such a nice guy and I cannot recommend him enough. His English is perfect (probably better than mine and I’m a native speaker!) and we always have a lot of fun during our lessons. He has lots of materials and sets really good homework and always makes sure it’s at the right level for me. I’m excited to continue my language learning journey with Amir Jaan 🥰🥰

Amir is an amazing teacher with a deep understanding of what it takes to sucessfully learn new languages. He goes above and beyond every week by making voice recordings of the new phrases from our class, and takes incredibly detailed notes of new phrases during class. I highly recommend partnering with Amir long term in your language learning journey!

Our first lesson went very well I think. Somehow, we got talking about some topics that I have not talked about yet in Persian/Dari and I felt good doing it. Amir is patient and encouraging and guided me when needed. He also gives plenty of feedback that shows he is following what I’m saying. I learned some new helpful words, too.
