Hi! I'm Monique! I have a master's degree in TESOL and have been working in international education for ten years (as a teacher and as an advisor). I moved from one big city (New York) to another (Tokyo) over five years ago. I sometimes imagine I'm trying out for one of the cooking shows I like to watch and enjoy coming up with interesting recipes for me and my husband. I also really enjoy travel and the atmosphere of cafes!Me as a Teacher
I am patient and always want to create a relaxing environment for my students. Students often tell me that they appreciate the energy I bring to every lesson (even on early mornings and late nights!).My lessons & teaching style
I have a lot of experience designing classes and materials--all you need to do is tell me what your personal goals are! I do a lot of discussion-based activities designed to help you go past simple answers. I also search tirelessly for interesting/entertaining videos, pictures, and articles to support my lessons.My teaching material
