Turkısh teacher for 2 years Hi! My name is Elif, and I am super excited to meet you here on Italki ! Here are some things about myself that you probably would like to know before our first lesson. I am a native Turkish speaker. I am a very open-minded person, and I love to talk to people about their culture and life experiences. I live in Ankara. In my free times, I like cooking and doing sports.After completing my undergraduate education, I started my master's education and now I am at the thesis stage. I took my pedagogical formation and took law classes in high school. Firstly, don't be shy! I'm here to help you practice your Turkish conversation skills and it's my job to try to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the class. I take a very friendly and laid back approach to my teaching. I try to offer an informal, safe, encouraging, supportive environment where you can build you confidence and fluency in Turkish without worrying about being judged. I'm happy to make corrections, but it's always done in a gentle way. I'm friendly, a good listener. I ensure that we always have things to talk about, but I'm also very happy to let you lead the conversation. Learning or practicing a language, whether you’re a beginner or you’re experienced, can seem very scary and intimidating sometimes. I want to create a stress-free environment for you by offering fun, casual, and flexible Turkish conversation lessons. I want my lessons to feel like you’re having a nice chat with a friend over coffee:)
