Hello, I’m Micchi, a professional Japanese teacher living on Awaji Island, known in Japanese mythology as the island of creation.
I offer topic-based Japanese conversation lessons for B1–C2 learners who want to improve their Japanese through food, culture, dashi, tea, and daily life.
For nearly 30 years, I have been involved in Japanese food culture, including home cooking, seasonings, dashi, umami, tea, and daily food life.
Through our conversations, you can practice speaking Japanese while understanding the feelings, values, and everyday sensibilities behind Japanese food and culture. You will also practice expressing your own thoughts in natural Japanese.
In my lessons, we may talk about miso, soy sauce, katsuobushi, kombu, chopsticks, food habits, Japanese tea, Chinese tea, Taiwanese tea, kimono, and life on Awaji Island.
All lessons are conducted in Japanese only. I speak at a natural speed, explain simply, and correct your Japanese when needed.
My teaching style is calm, gentle, and practical. You do not need to speak perfectly. I will support you in finding your own words in Japanese while enjoying meaningful cultural topics.
Please note that this is not a free conversation or business Japanese lesson. It is best for learners who want to deepen their Japanese through culture, food, tea, and daily life.
